Odisha Knowledge Corporation Limited (OKCL), which has made significant strides in shaping the state’s technological landscape over the past 14 years by training over 300,000 learners, has now planned to strengthen the digital revolution across rural areas.
OKCL, a public limited company operating under the Electronics and Information Technology (E&IT) Department of the State Government, celebrated its 14th anniversary.The event held to commemorate the occasion, brought together the management and various teams to reflect on the organization’s achievements and set new goals for the future.

The program began with a short film produced by different OKCL teams, showcasing success stories in digital literacy, teacher training, e-governance projects, digital learning content for schoolchildren, and women’s empowerment initiatives, Managing Director Dr. Manoranjan Puthal said.

In his speech, Dr. Puthal reflected on OKCL’s journey since its founding 14 years ago, commending the hard work of staff and partners. He urged everyone to continue working with renewed energy.
“We must redouble our efforts to ensure no citizen, anywhere in Odisha, is left behind in the digital revolution,” he emphasized.
Over the past 14 years, OKCL—established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) promoted by the Government of Odisha—has become one of the state’s most impactful technology-driven organizations.
The organization has trained over 300,000 learners, set up more than 750 centers across all districts, and enabled thousands of students, teachers, and job seekers to gain essential digital skills.
OKCL plans to expand its reach in rural areas, further strengthen women’s empowerment initiatives, and enhance youth skill development programs.
